November 7, 2018 - Memorandum - National Medical Shortages

The medication shortage crisis continues to disrupt the care of patients in both the hospital and prehospital areas. One of the most affected areas is emergency medicine and this places our high-risk patients at risk. Currently there are substitutions available for the medications that are in short supply.

Online Paramedic Licensure Service Coming Fall 2018

The EMS Authority is pleased to announce their new, online paramedic licensure service for paramedic graduates and paramedics. The online system will be available in the Fall of 2018.

Position Open at Beckwourth Fire District

The Beckwourth Fire District is accepting applications for a District Fire Chief. This position not only performs the duties as the Chief of the department, but also as the general manager of the District. The position is based on a part-time basis comprising 32-hours per week at a beginning salary of $30.00 per hour, with a two percent merit based annual increase, budget permitting.

January 30, 2018 - Memorandum - Emergency Medical Responders Background Check Required

Effective Monday, March 5, 2018, by action of the Nor-Cal EMS Board of Directors, it is now mandatory for all new Emergency Medical Responders, recertifying Emergency Medical Responders and First Responders transitioning to Emergency Medical Responders to have a background check.
