Trauma
Trauma is a physical injury or wound caused by an external force of
violence, which may cause death or permanent disability. Trauma is also
used to describe severe emotional or psychological shock or distress.
A trauma patient is one who has sustained a potentially life

Since the revised Trauma Regulations were released in August
of 1999, and recognized the inclusive system design, Nor-Cal
EMS was enabled to re-designate its Emergency Departments
Approved for Trauma to line up with the specific criteria
